Tokyo-based developer Kajima Properties has been granted permission to redevelop a City office block that will include a new public thoroughfare, Nun Court, that will connect Coleman Street and Moorgate. 77 Coleman St will undergo extensive remodeling into a 7,600 SF office development, according to Building Design.

Architect Buckley Gray Yeoman designed the scheme to include retail and leisure on the ground floor while a two-storey roof extension will add office space.

Buckley Grey Yeoman also recently submitted plans to create a market destination in South Kensington within buildings that once housed the studio of Victorian artist Sir John Lavery. Those plans will provide both public and private exhibition space, storage and private viewing rooms for individual gallery businesses.

Both projects are expected to complete in 2019. [BD]
