HSBC Chooses Blue Fin For New Fintech Hub

HSBC is expanding out of its headquarters in Canary Wharf and relocating to the Blue Fin building 110 Southwark St, where it will splash out £65/SF for 10 years, according to Property Week. Earlier this week, rumours indicated the bank would be moving to Shoreditch to be near the technology and research available in Tech City to help build out its financial technology capabilities.

On the same day HSBC’s lease was announced, PR and marketing company Brands2Life also signed a lease at Blue Fin. About 120 staff will relocate from its offices at 111 Buckingham Palace Road to 11k SF for 10 years in the space being vacated by Babcock International. The company will pay in excess of £60/SF.
