British Land Unveils New Super-Prime Clarges Street Offices
British Land unveiled the office portion of its Clarges Street development in the heart of Mayfair. The new building at 7 Clarges St encompasses 49k SF of prime commercial space across six floors. The three uppermost levels incorporate private terraces with views across Green Park to Buckingham Palace and Victoria.
Employees can soak up natural sunlight from the floor-to-ceiling windows, and enhanced collaboration is possible with flexible floor plates. Health and well-being is also emphasized with parking for 55 bicycles, 39 lockers for folding bikes, and shower amenities in keeping with the Mayfair Club style.
The six-storey building designed by Squire and Partners is a contemporary take on the traditional Mayfair aesthetic, finished with Portland stone and an illuminated entranceway reflecting the classic covered entrances of nearby Claridge’s and Burlington Arcade. A ground-floor gallery will feature bespoke artworks.
Head of office leasing Michael Wiseman says British Land anticipates a diverse mix of businesses at 7 Clarges St, including private equity firms and asset management firms, alongside technology companies and creative businesses.
