Meadow Residential Submits Planning For London Docklands Housing Scheme

Meadow Residential submitted a planning application to the London Borough of Tower Hamlets to build 316 apartments in two dockside towers. The 30-storey and 25-storey buildings will be at 49-59 Millharbour on the Isle of Dogs in London’s docklands.

The planning application includes the provision of 95 affordable units—35% of the total, in line with London Borough of Tower Hamlets policy—providing 65 new homes for social rent and 30 available on a shared ownership basis. The remaining units will be leased longer term with capped rent rises, providing greater security for young professionals and families.

Meadow Residential’s proposals also contain the provision of a child nursery and other commercial space along Pepper Street, as well as improvements to the landscaping along the dockside and Millharbour, opening the space for public use.

Tower Hamlets already has the fastest growth of housing in London.
