Luxury hotel operator Cairn Group refinanced £101M with the assistance of HSBC, and plans to go shopping for new assets. The company will use £50M for acquisitions and developments to strengthen its portfolio, which includes 26 hotels and more than 30 bars and restaurants across the UK.

In 2015, Cairn Group acquired Ramada Glasgow Airport Hotel, and a 17th century Buckinghamshire country house, Stoke Place Hotel (above).

The next completed refurbishment and rebranding will be the Hotel Indigo Edinburgh Princes St, due to open in June 2016.

Over the past five years, Cairn Group has spent over £40M acquiring and improving assets and doubled its number of employees.
