EōS Fitness Leases Another 144K SF For 3 More Houston Suburbs Locations

After announcing its first plans for Texas locations and moving its headquarters from Phoenix to Dallas this year, EōS Fitness is planning to open three more locations in the Houston suburbs.

EōS committed to renting 51K SF in Sugar Land, 42K SF in Atascocita and 51K SF in Katy, according to Baker Katz, which represented EōS in the lease negotiations.

No Texas EōS Fitness locations are open yet, but the Spring location at 7422 Louetta Road is slated to open in January, according to the EōS website. The building is a former LA Fitness.

EōS also plans to open locations in Desoto, Euless and Fort Worth in 2023.

The Sugar Land location is planned to open in 2024, while the Atascocita and Katy locations are slated for 2025, according to Baker Katz

EōS advertises as a high-value, low-price gym with memberships starting at $9.99 per month. Along with typical gym equipment, the Spring location features saunas, hot tubs, group cycling classes, personal trainers and a “cinema” cardio room with a big screen, surround sound and mood lighting, according to the website.

Including corporate roles and gym team members, EōS estimates it will bring thousands of new jobs to Texas over the next 10 years, according to a news release.

Gym operators struggled in the early days of the pandemic, as fitness buffs stayed home and shored up their home gyms with equipment like Pelotons, but they saw a resurgence of traffic in 2021. That has led many fitness companies to go into expansion mode this year, translating to an uptick in demand for space.

Jason Baker of Baker Katz represented EōS Fitness in the leases. Whitestone REIT’s Wendell Nault, First Hartford Realty’s Jarrett Adame and Excel Commercial Real Estate’s Clay McDaniel represented the landlords in the Sugar Land, Atascocita and Katy deals, respectively.
