Academy Sports + Outdoors has reached a deal with Katy Independent School District for the exclusive naming rights to the district's Student Activities Complex. The 10-year deal is worth $2.5M. The complex is home to Jack Rhodes Memorial Stadium as well as a new 12,000-seat stadium being built for $72M, making it the state's most expensive stadium. In 2014, Katy ISD residents approved $58M toward building the new stadium as part of a $748M bond package that included costs to build new schools, among other items.

In a statement, Academy CEO J.K. Symnacyk said Katy "is home to more than 3,000 of our team members, our corporate headquarters, two of our store locations, and one of our distribution centers. Academy has partnered with Katy ISD for over 25 years, and we are proud to extend our support in the Katy community over the next decade."
