JLL’s Houston office has just gotten a lot bigger.

A 19-person tenant representation team from CBRE is decamping for JLL, a major play that has more than doubled the Chicago-based firm’s local lineup. The team, led by Charles Gordon, includes Brandon Clarke, Steve Hesse, Sanford CrinerGraham Horton, Matt Trozzo, Jeff Cairns and Paul Penland

The team was founded over 25 years ago by Gordon, and it includes five of the last 10 NAIOP Houston Office Brokers of the Year and one Industrial Broker of the Year. The team became part of CBRE when the firm acquired Trione & Gordon in 2003.

The addition of the team brings JLL’s total tenant rep headcount to 32 people.

“This represents a union of industry leaders who will redefine client excellence in our region by working together,” JLL Houston President Dan Bellow said. “Our combined talent will result in a powerful cultural fit that will enhance our client service capabilities and increases our ability to identify opportunities for growth and win more business together.”

The announcement follows the departure of Russell Hodges, Bubba Harkins and Jessica Ochoa, who left JLL to join CBRE’s Advisory & Transaction Services business in Houston last month.
