Will 2016 be known as the year co-working came to Houston? With another space opening up in Downtown Houston, it looks like it. The historic Scanlan Building, constructed over a century ago in 1909,  just wrapped up work on an interior renovation on behalf of Level Office. Designed by Method Architecture and executed by Burton Construction, the three-story renovation project included full-scale plans to transform the outdated space. The suites offer an amenity-rich workspace, including an entry receptionist, card reader security, and full access to contemporary shared spaces—including a common lounge, chef-inspired kitchen and conference facilities.

Level Office will compete against Serendipity Labs, another co-working player making moves in a historical building Downtown. This will be Level Office's third Houston location; it's already occupying space Downtown at 720 Rusk.
