Capitol Tower Tops Out

Construction on Downtown Houston's newest skyscraper has reached its highest point. A ceremonial beam signed by the construction, design and leasing team of Capitol Tower was lifted to the highest level to mark the occasion. Designed by Gensler and constructed by Skanska USA, the project was the first in Houston to receive LEED v4 Platinum pre-certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. CBRE is handling office leasing while Transwestern is managing the retail leasing.

Skanska USA kicked off the 754K SF downtown tower last year. Bank of America signed on to anchor the 35-story office building with a 210K SF lease that includes naming rights.
