What You'll Learn

  • Delta Variant and Evictions -- how is the new covid variant impacting the city's decisions on lifting eviction moratoriums?
  • The Great Disruptor, or Great Accelerator: how has the last 16 months impacted overarching development and design trends in multifamily?
  • Financing - from rent raises to construction costs/expensive raw materials, how are today's multifamily projects being financed?
  • Exodus begone - DC's absorption is higher than ever. What does this mean not just for major urban centers, but also for smaller markets seeing population surges throughout the pandemic?
  • The rise of Single-Family Rental - the do's and don'ts of SFR

How You'll Do More Business:

The world is recovering, people are getting vaccinated, and the housing market is coming back strong. Although there is no clear end to the pandemic, we continue to see an emphasis on homes nationwide. New developments are in the works throughout the east coast, signaling the improvement in the housing market recovery. However, developers are being challenged in many different ways due to past and current Coronavirus implications. From the beginning of the pandemic till the end of June 2021, average rents have increased by 6.3% nationwide which also surged a stronger absorption rate. With 11 million Americans behind on rent and the Delta variant being the dominant source of public health, developers, owners and investors are in need of implementing new strategies for this recovering market. Join us and learn more about development, design trends, financing, and the future of multifamily.

Who You’ll Meet: Developers, owners, investors, brokers, construction, designers, architects, financial institutions and more!
