Patrick Goddard is the President of Brightline Florida, the first privately owned and operated intercity passenger rail system in more than 100 years. Patrick was responsible for the development and construction of the Florida system and defining the guest experience.

He comes from the hospitality industry, having worked in hotel development and operations for Hilton Hotels, Loews Hotels and Rosewood Hotels. He also ran a large international hotel management company, Trust Hospitality, for 5 years as its president and chief operating officer prior to joining Brightline in 2016.

Patrick has a degree in hospitality management from the Dublin Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Management from Trinity College Dublin.

Sam Sleiman is the Executive Vice President of Transportation, responsible for leading

Suffolk’s operations in the transportation sector and driving business development efforts for aviation, port, and railway projects nationally.

Sam joined Suffolk from the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), an organization

that includes Boston Logan International Airport, the seaport container terminal, cruise

terminal and toll bridge structure in Boston. He has more than 40 years of experience in

the design and construction industry, with 27 of those years leading executive operations,

administration and capital programming management at Massport.

With extensive experience on the client-facing side of operations and capital programming,

along with his expertise in managing complex and sophisticated transportation projects,

Sam serves an integral role in Suffolk’s growth and diversification throughout the

transportation sector.

Sam is an active member of Airport Council International (ACI), American Association of

Airport Executives (AAE), Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), and

American Society of Civil Engineer (ASCE).

Fueled by his innate creativity and armed with a diehard entrepreneurial spirit, Harvey Hernandez began his involvement in real estate development as a hands-on investor in the rapidly expanding South Florida market. With more than two decades in South Florida, he has observed first-hand the region’s tremendous capacity for change and progress. Holding firm to excellence from the forefront of the industry, Harvey continues to revitalize the high-end residential market by developing innovative projects that deliver the best in location, cutting- edge amenities, luxury finishes and forward-thinking design. Harvey entered the real estate industry following a successful foray scaling a technology startup that sold in year 2000. The sale provided the initial capital for the $260 million-dollar multifamily development firm, H&H Development Company -- a pivotal catalyst to Harvey’s career. These ventures paved the way for Harvey’s subsequent endeavors, giving him the necessary momentum to launch Newgard Development Group and NGD Homesharing LLC. In 2017, Harvey partnered with Airbnb to create Niido, the first and only residential brand designed to encourage and facilitate home sharing. The partnership includes multifamily developments that are tailor-made to optimize flexible living, with a suite of technology, services and amenities. The first Niido, powered by Airbnb, communities are open in Orlando and Nashville with more locations coming soon. Following Niido’s launch, in June of 2019, Harvey expanded his partnership with Airbnb to create yet another revolutionary new hospitality brand, Natiivo. Purposely designed, built and licensed for home sharing, Natiivo is the first brand to offer ownership with home sharing as an amenity. On the heels of the success of Natiivo Miami and Natiivo Austin, which both sold out before breaking ground, his latest brand LOFTY has debuted its first iteration in Brickell, Miami. Harvey’s other notable projects include Gale Boutique Hotel Fort Lauderdale, Gale Residences in Fort Lauderdale; One Flagler office building, Centro Condominium Miami and BrickellHouse.

Brandon M. Spirk is the Director of Design and Construction at OceanLand Investments, a family-owned

business dedicated to creating exceptional developments in desirable locations. Brandon brings with

him an impressive track record of successful projects, which have honed his expertise in design and

construction. With almost 20 years of experience in both architecture and development, Brandon has

accomplished 8 acquisitions and 6 developments, with an estimated total of $650 million.

Prior to joining OceanLand Investments in 2015, Brandon began in the Architecture industry. He started

working at Zyscovich Architects, a large firm in Miami and then moved into the boutique space with

Shulman & Associates which specialized in ultra-high-end residential, commercial, and hotel projects. As

a result, his experience ranges from the smallest most intricately detailed endeavors to large

infrastructure-type projects which range from urban master plans to airports and other transportation-

oriented projects. His most notable projects in the architecture space include the Florida Strategic

Turnpike Plaza Renovations, II Midtown, and 1111 Lincoln Road.

Brandon’s introduction to the real estate industry was born through his passion for architecture but also

his strong desire to positively impact formative decisions that only the development teams are engaged

with. He has managed the design and construction process of numerous hotels, mixed-use buildings,

and residences, displaying expertise in maintaining and updating historical sites while creating

contemporary, high-end structures. Brandon specializes in multi-family and condominium residential

real estate and his most notable project to date is the completion of the AquaBlu Condominiums.

Among his past projects are Aquavita, AquaLuna, AquaMar, AquaVue, Riverwalk Residences, 201 N.

Federal, Sixth & Rio, and Brightline Residences.

Originally from Philadelphia, Brandon resides in Miami Shores. He has earned his Bachelor of

Architecture from Florida Atlantic University and enjoys mountain biking, and aviation, is a certified

private pilot and is involved with the Heidi Hewes Chapter of the Woman’s Cancer Association.

Eric Singer represents both public- and private-sector clients in the areas of

government contracting and complex government transactions, including

public-private partnerships (P3). Eric has negotiated development

agreements for a wide variety of public assets and public-private

developments, including transportation infrastructure, transit-oriented

development, public buildings, and public utilities, and has represented

clients on some of Florida’s most transformative projects. He also handles

the full spectrum of public-contracting issues, from preparation of proposals

through appeals of administrative bid protests. Eric also routinely represents

clients in connection with post-award contract compliance and regulatory

compliance, including compliance with the myriad of regulations applicable to

the development of government-owned property, including contractor-wage

regulations, subcontractor-preference regulations (such as DBE, MBE, WBE,

and SBE requirements), and public-art requirements.

Eric combines that practical experience with the extensive academic

knowledge he gained as a visiting faculty member and research fellow at the

New York University School of Law, where he studied P3s across the United

States and abroad, in order to further his clients’ goals. Prior to joining Bilzin

Sumberg, Eric served as a law clerk to the Honorable Danny J. Boggs of the

United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Eric earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago, graduating with high

honors and the John M. Olin Prize, to the top student in Law and Economics.

He received his M.A. from the University of Michigan's School of Education,

and his B.A. from Cornell University.
