Construction Defects Reform: No Go

Placeholder

The word on construction defects reform in Colorado is: not this year, either. The House State, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee declined to approve Senate Bill 177, which that chamber passed earlier. The majority of the committee, after a hearing that lasted five hours, was unpersuaded of the bill's merits, the Denver Business Journal reports. “This tilts access to justice primarily toward developers and builders," committee member Joe Salazar (D-Thornton) reportedly commented on the bill.
