Which Texas Cities Are Best For Job Seekers?

Placeholder

All major Texas cities took top spots in new research ranking the 25 best cities for job seekers, but not in the order you might imagine.

The unemployment rate is holding strong at 5% and the Bureau of Labor Statistics credits job growth to a few sectors more than others. Community and social service jobs and computer and math professions grew by about 15% between 2012 and 2015. Healthcare jobs grew by 10%, construction and extraction by 9% and art, design, entertainment, sports and media by 8%.

By taking those growth sectors into consideration, Abodo found the best cities to apply for a job. Houston comes in fourth place behind New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. San Antonio comes in seventh. Dallas comes in ninth and Austin is eleventh
