WatchGuard Video Kicks Off $47M Build-To-Suit Project In Allen
Adolfson & Peterson Construction broke ground on a $47M build-to-suit project for the world’s largest manufacturer of law enforcement video systems, WatchGuard Video. WatchGuard will relocate about three miles north of its current offices to new corporate headquarters on Exchange Parkway and Andrews Parkway in Allen. The first of the two project phases will deliver Q1 2018.
A two-story, 140k SF building costing $37M comprises Phase 1. An additional 60k SF will be completed in 2022 for the $10M Phase 2. The original structure will host a manufacturing facility and demonstration room on the first floor. The second floor will consist of offices and conference rooms. The building will also have a gym, a racquetball court, an engineering laboratory and a training center. At completion, the project will house 700 employees.
GFF designed the headquarters, AP is the contractor and Fricks Construction Management is managing the project. Allen is no stranger to corporate BTS projects. KONE’s North American campus delivered in June 2016.
