Transwestern Investment Group Sells 8235 Douglas

Granite announced today the acquisition of 8235 Douglas, a 163,861-square- foot, Class-A office property situated in the center of Dallas. The company plans to rebrand the building as The Douglas.

Granite Properties has acquired 8235 Douglas in Dallas’ Preston Center from Transwestern Investment Group. Granite will rebrand the 164K SF, 13-story tower as The Douglas. 

In 2015, the tower built in 1980 underwent a $3M interior renovation to upgrade the windows, lobby, restrooms and elevators. System upgrades to the garage, fire panel, cooling tower and roof cost $1.5M. 

Granite will add a customer lounge and conference center with coffee bar, grab-and-go food, a putting green, a golf simulator and outdoor seating.
