NTCAR released the names of its four 2015 Stemmons Service Award finalists with some well-known names: CBRE’s Steve Berger, Carey Cox’s Bill Cox, CBRE/UCR’s Jack Gosnell and Citadel Partners’ Scott Morse. The Stemmons Award is one of the most prestigious commercial real estate recognitions in Dallas-Fort Worth. Cresa Dallas managing director Susan Arledge (the 2012 Stemmons Award winner) tells us this award, after 38 years in the industry, remains the highest honor awarded to commercial real estate professionals by NTCAR. Past recipients include the who's who of real estate in Dallas and this award represents the four pillars of success in the industry: tenure in the industry, service to NTCAR, community service, and personal character and reputation. Each of these four nominees represent the best of the best, she says. She served on the selection committee this year and was impressed by the quality, character and commitment to excellence these four represent. Many of their competitors wrote letters of recommendation for the nominees—that is perhaps the highest form of flattery, Susan tells us.

The Stemmons Award is something that means more to me than any other accomplishment, says Colliers International EVP (and SIOR global president) Allen Gump (right, with KDC's Steve Van Amburgh). Allen won in 2013. The recognition comes from people you’ve worked around your entire career, he tells us. The DFW real estate community is one of the very best; you spend many years doing your best to act respectful of your clients, fellow brokers and your company. It’s amazing that your peers are willing to recognize your career as worthy of the Stemmons Award, he tells us. This year's group of finalists are a truly exceptional group, Allen tells us. All exemplify the best in leadership qualities in the industry. They are all top producers, and serve their communities, charities and the real estate community as leaders. I am so proud of each one of them, they are all four winners, he says.
