DuWest Sells $64M In Its First Investment Push

Placeholder

DuWest, known for its retail leasing prowess, is extending into sales. In the last two quarters, it sold 11 retail properties totaling over $64M. VPs Scott Rodgers and Will Walters tell us they’ve worked hard to build and maintain relationships with clients on the leasing side, so it seemed like the next logical step to take a property to market after already having successfully leased it.

Some of their recent sales include the 20k SF Harvest Plaza in Wylie and the 32k SF Addison Plaza on Belt Line Road. Scott and Will tell us the hardest part of their new initiative is qualifying buyers. Working with 1031 buyers can be challenging and the real hard work is going through multiple offers and qualifying newer buyers. They don’t seem worried though. They have 65 properties, over 4M SF, in their leasing portfolio and are looking forward to building the investment services side for DuWest.
