We Met Seattle Slew's Kid

With a penchant for peppermints, carrots, and kissing girls, Slew (left)has some good lineage and a doting owner, Cyprus Equities Karly Kilroy.The 21-year-old horse is the offspring of 77 Triple Crown winner,Seattle Slew, and he graciously allowed DFWreporterTonie Auer and two of her children, Robert and Sarah, a quick Sunday ride.Karly tells us her dream job would be to have a horse therapy clinic. She's a2012Bisnow 35 Under 35 award-winner (and Baylor grad, Sic em!). Slew has some street cred, too, other than his parentage: hes in the opening credits for the TV showDallas. And, just like a star, hehas a preference forStarlite mints. Any other kind just might end up in the dirt.

Karly tells us Perren Gasc(not, the horse, but the broker) joined the team at Cyprus Equities West 7thproject, which recently opened its final phase. Kona Grill just signed an almost 8,000 SF lease with plans to open later this year. Edge Realty Partners Steve Ewing repped the tenant. Sleep Experts also signed a deal, leasing the space next to Freebirds World Burrito with a May opening targeted. Venture Commercials Bryan Cornelius and Dave Carter repped Sleep Experts and Karly provided in-house representation.
