Cushman and Wakefield's Mike Wyatt and Harwood International's Jihane Boury take to the Trinity River as part of Mike's annual Carpe Diem fishing and canoeing event to raise money for the Trinity River Foundation. Mike just celebrated his 25th anniversary with Cushman and Jihane marks her 10th year with Harwood. And, that's no fish story! Mike has a few recent deals under his belt including at 14k SF lease for Zayo Group at 5080 Spectrum Dr in Addison. Mike repped the tenant along with Grant Pruitt, Alex Smith, Robbie Baty, and Bill McClung. The landlord, Granite Properties, was self-repped.

SALES

Bentall Kennedy acquired Amazon.com's new 1.1M SF distribution center in Haslet from Hillwood Development Co for an institutional investor for an undisclosed amount. On 68 acres on Westport Parkway within AllianceTexas, the center sent out its first item on Oct. 16. Amazon signed a 15-year lease for the property.

Parmenter Realty Partners bought the 42-story, 1.3M SF Class-A Tower at Cityplace in Dallas. Parmenter plans a capital improvement program including the renovation of the building's common areas.

The 55k SF 1840 Hutton Dr occupied by Colormark was sold by First Industrial Property Trust to Colormark. Myers Commercial's Bob Myers repped the buyer. Royal Pratt III repped the seller.

Denkmann Associates sold a 30k SF office at 8201 Tristar Dr in Irving to Manara Academy. Lee & Associates' Mark Graybill represented the seller. Hudson Peters Commercial's Michelle Hudson repped the buyer.

A NYC-based LLC purchased the 31k SF Chase Bank ground lease at 134 N MacArthur Blvd in Coppell in an all-cash transaction from a private investor. Marcus & Millichap first VP Jason Vitorino repped both buyer and seller. At the time of sale, 15 years remained on the 20-year ground lease and includes 5% rent escalations every five years.

The Philip H & Ruth Ann Ingber Trust sold a 122k SF building leased to Garden Ridge at 5608 SW Loop 820 in Fort Worth to Store Capital Acquisitions. The seller was repped by CBRE's Stroud Arthur and Ryan Byrne.

LEASING

Granite Security Products renewed a 49k SF lease at 1734 E El Paso St in Fort Worth. Bradford's Nick Talley represented the landlord, Conti RSB in the direct deal. In another Bradford deal, Melanie Hughes and Sharon Friedberg repped the landlord, YPI Central Expressway Properties, in the 14k SF lease to CBIZ Benefits & Insurance Group at 4851 LBJ Freeway in Dallas. Jackson & Cooksey's John Beach and Brad Mason represented the tenant.
