SALES

Henry S. Miller sold Little Elm Towne Crossing, the 170k SF neighborhood shopping center at the northwest corner of Eldorado Parkway and FM 423 in Little Elm. HSM’s Robert Grunnah, Darrell Hurmis, and Daniel Harris repped the seller. The buyer, LETC Dunhill, plans to keep the asset as an investment hold for the immediate future with no plans for renovation.

Panther FW Investments purchased a five-building 303k SF industrial portfolio in the Valwood and East Brookhollow submarkets in Dallas. Panther partnered with Atlas CP, repped by principals P.J. Brady and Brad Hannagan, in their second partnership.

A local private investor sold the 10k SF net-leased property occupied by Winewood Grill and an almost 6,000 SF net-leased property occupied by Fireside Pies—at 1265 and 1285 S Main St in Grapevine—to a local LLC. Marcus & Millichap’s Jason Vitorino repped both buyer and seller.

In last week's Deal Sheet, we mentioned the New Quest Properties acquisition of Carrollton Town Center. We’ve since learned that Structure Commercial’s Eric Deuillet brokered the transaction between the seller, Trinity/Denton II and New Quest. 

EXECUTIVE PEOPLE

Steve Hall joined Boxer Property as regional director of operations. Steve will oversee daily operations and property management for the Dallas-area office portfolio. Also joining Boxer is Jennifer Young as regional leasing manager.

David Kilgo joined the GRS | Corteq team as business development director. Prior to joining GRS Group, he spent five years managing lender services at Environmental Data Resources.

Doug Banerjee was appointed to Greysteel Co’s executive committee.

Greg Genovese joined Capview Partners as director of equity capital markets. He will lead and manage all aspects of the company’s investment funds distribution and sales platforms, as well as co-lead the firm’s investment funds and real estate securities development, advisory, and marketing platforms. Most recently, he was president and CEO of US Global Realty Capital.

Michael Doherty joined Lincoln Harris CSG as VP. He will provide transaction services and strategic marketing for owned and leased properties. Prior to joining Lincoln Harris, he was an associate at Lincoln Property Co.

Marc McKinney joins Emersons Real Estate Services in investment sales. Marc comes from Phillips Commercial where he brokered retail, office, and industrial deals. 

NEW BUSINESS

Sylvan | Thirty development partners, Oaxaca Interests and Wood Partners, have selected Greystar Real Estate Partners to handle apartment leasing and property management at the mixed-use development at North Oak Cliff and West Dallas. Additionally, Blake Peery will serve as the on-site property manager.

Cadence McShane Construction Co relocated its HQ to 21k SF 5057 Keller Springs Rd in Addison.

BOMA announced the 2014 Southwest Region winners, which will advance to the International Awards at the 2014 Every Building Conference & Expo in Orlando on June 24. Among the award winners: include the 2014 Southwest Outstanding Member of the Year, Mike Pugh of CBRE. TOBY Winners for 250,000 to 499,999 SF is Las Colinas Towers (team pictured) managed and owned by Parmenter Realty Partners; corporate facility is the Hunt corporate HQ managed by Hunt Office Management and owned by Hunt Consolidated; renovated building is Premier Place, managed by CBRE and owned by CBRE Global Investors; suburban office park mid-rise is Tollway Plaza, managed by CBRE and owned by CBRE Global Investors; earth is Energy Plaza, managed by Transwestern and owned by Energy Future Holdings.

CoreNet Global Southwest chapter released its list of 2014 award winners, which will be presented on April 26. It’s the first award presentation, says new chapter prez Ted Kollaja (of Gensler). The award winners include the sustainable leadership award to the City of Dallas for its Green Building Code; the economic development leadership award project award to State Farm at CityLine; leadership and innovation to the Frisco EDC and Frisco ISD; the industry excellence award to Fischer System’s CREDashboard; the corporate real estate exec of the year to AT&T’s Russ McFadden; the service provider of the year is the Furniture Marketing Group; the community impact award goes to Corgan for its 75 days x 75 Ways Campaign; and the young leader award goes to Holder Construction’s Alyce Andersen.

NTT Data backfilled and leased more than 45k SF in Granite Park III. NTT Data was represented by The Amend Group’s John Amend, BD Amend, and JW Amend. Invensys (previous occupier of the space) was represented by Citadel Partners’ Scott Morse and Alex Reedy in coordination with Jim Kirchhoff of Granite Properties.

Regus inked a five-year renewal for 22k SF at 9330 LBJ Freeway in Dallas. CBRE’s Baron Aldrine repped the tenant. Cassidy Turley repped the landlord, Tremont Realty Capital.
