Construction is underway on a daycare and early childhood education center in Wicker Park. The Jewish Council for Youth Services is building the Michael R. Lutz Family Center at 2129 W North Ave, which will provide summer day camps and before and after-school programs, in addition to pre-school and kindergarten classes. The new building will replace a former manufacturer of educational toys and puzzles, DNAInfo reports. OKW Architects is designing the 12k SF, two-story building and its exterior will made of cast stone, slate and wood-like siding. The center will cater to all denominations when it opens next October.
