Chicago Trading Co. is expanding its office footprint at 425 South Financial Place. The trading firm completed a 114K SF lease renewal and expansion, which increases its office size by nearly 27K SF.

CIM Group bought the 39-story building, also known by the address 440 South LaSalle, for $200M in April 2016, and has been renovating the building's amenities and common areas and rebranding it with the new Financial Place address.

CTC Chief Financial Officer Mike Allara said CIM Group's renovations played a significant role in the lease renewal and expansion.

“Our expansion, in combination with 425 Financial Place’s commitment to upgrade building amenities and improve common areas, will position our firm to attract and retain the premier, diverse talent needed to fuel continued success for years to come,” Allara said.

CBRE's Mark Keebler and Brad Serot represented the tenant, while ownership was represented by JLL's Mike Curran. This is the seventh-largest lease in Chicago in 2018, according to CBRE.
