Stalled Lakeview TOD Set To Move Forward

Placeholder

After years in limbo, a long-stalled Lakeview multifamily development is showing signs of moving forward. Developer John Livaditis originally proposed building 33 apartments at 2945 North Clark St in 2014. Those plans were reduced to 21 apartments, 15 parking spaces and a 5k SF Roots Pizza on the ground level, Curbed reports.

The downsizing resulted in a stream of permits being issued for the site, although there are no signs of construction yet. When the project is delivered, it will benefit from being in one of the North Side's busiest retail corridors.

The Livaditis project is a short walk from The Century shopping center. Oxford Capital bought the nearby Days Inn Chicago and plans to reposition it as a boutique hotel. The Clark Street bus stops steps from the site, and downtown workers can take the Brown Line into downtown. [Curbed]
