Sterling Bay continues to sell the sizzle for Lincoln Yards, its planned redevelopment of 60 acres on the upper North Branch Industrial Corridor centered by the former A. Finkl & Sons site. The developer released plans for a soccer stadium on the site, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The 20,000-seat, retractable roof stadium will be built for a United Soccer League team coming to Chicago in 2020. Sterling Bay is an investor in the team. Sterling Bay Managing Principal Andy Gloor said the retractable roof would allow for year-round use, including concerts, college football and basketball games, and friendlies with international soccer teams.

Sterling Bay's announcement comes a day after reports surfaced that Amazon officials toured the Lincoln Yards site. Lincoln Yards is one of 10 sites submitted by Illinois and Chicago for its Amazon HQ2 bid. Sterling Bay estimates it will cost $10B to redevelop the site.
