Chicago

Cedar Street continues buying properties in Uptown. Its latest acquisitions are 1101 W Lawrence Ave for $1.3M and 4750 N Winthrop Ave for $1.4M. Sperry Van Ness Chicago Commercial brokered the sale on behalf of MB Bank. Cedar Street has purchased several properties in Uptown recently, including the Combined Insurance building at 5050 N Broadway, the FLATS building at 1325 W Wilson Ave and the Wilson Avenue Theater building at 1050 W Wilson Ave, according to DNAInfo. The Lawrence and Winthrop properties are located near the Lawrence Avenue Red Line "L" station, and SVN broker Tim Rasmussen believes Cedar Street will renovate the ground floor of at least one of the buildings. The Lawrence Avenue building currently houses a Chase Bank. [DNA]
