Trammell Two-Steps Back Into Chicago
We already know Trammell Crow Co. in our Texas publications, but they're becoming a household name in Chicago again, too. With the recent additions of Jason Stone Olt and Grady Hamilton, the company (a wholly-owned subsidiary of CBRE) is growing to expand its reach to the 'burbs and  Minneapolis.

We stopped by to chat with TCC's Shaun FrankfurtLauren HalstedtTim Lobner, Jason Stone Olt, and Grady Hamilton on Friday. With a core competency in development, Trammell Crow has had a slow but steady year. One recent highlight is bidding to manage and lease land for CalSTRS and CBRE Investors in the suburbs, as well as broadening its reach from the traditional property management that it's known for in Chicago. Both Grady and Jason said they joined TCC for its strong credit rating and ability to get involved in an entrepreneurial  yet well-known organization.

We've mixed up their order like those three-cup-shuffle games. Can you guess which one has the contract with Block 37 hidden under them? That would be Tim, who's recently been providing development management services for the receiver there. In that position, he has been closing out the construction contract with W.E. O'Neill and managing the build-outs of new tenants like the Disney Store, Andy's Frozen Custard, iCandylicious, and Ladies and Gentlemen Spa by Aveda. Trammell Crow is looking for new development to start downtown with the recession coming to a close. Shaun says he thinks the biggest opportunities in the next two years will be in acquisitions and corporate build-to-suits.
