Social Media Social
Last night, CoreNet drew the forward thinkers to Workspring for a social media training session. Astek's Andy Swindler and Barkley Advisory Group's Larry Barkley flank The Alter Group's Renata Pasmanik. She's ahead of the curve, with new 15 minute podcasts featuring industry experts speaking on a wide variety of topics from law to development to finance. Andy suggested "Shorter than NPR" as the tagline. We could get behind that.
Paul Muldoon, Northern Trust's James Taylor, Leopardo's Dan Ulbricht, and Kaplan's Scott Openlander. James was at this event just for fun; he's retiring, and, with his wife, building a house on a plot of land they own in Virginia. That's not enough for us to declare the residential market is back, but it's a start.
Brownfield Management Associate's Adam Meek, Bliss PR's Margy Sweeney, and the Harding Group's Gary Pines opened last night's session with short takeaways on social media. Margy's point: stay authentic. She'll never misrepresent herself in terms of business expertise or social media knowledge. Tweet smart, everyone!
