Here's a fun new way to market your rental units: sponsor a half-marathon and 10k. (Just make sure the next day's headlines aren't "Renters Run from Building.") Yesterday, the Magellan Chicago Spring Half-Marathon brought 4,500 runners to Lakeshore East where the race started and finished. While Magellan's Tricia Van Horn  says it's hard to quantify how many people might have considered buying after running through the complex's park or picking up their packets at the Aqua Tower, she's glad the company got its name out there and helped raise $240k for brain cancer research. The third annual event has grown from just 2,500 runners in its first year. They're hoping for better weather  next year.
