CREW held another Members Only Roundtable Luncheon yesterday at 330 N. Wabash, where they discussed how to land gov't funded projects. VOA's Ann Volz (right) explains to the ladies (including Schiff Hardin's Janet Johnson  and Chicago Economic Development Institute's Nina Fain) how her firm uses the federal government's website to gain business. She also encouraged large companies to do joint ventures with small, women, or minority-owned businesses, to help get consideration from the government.

World Business Chicago's Chris Raguso talked about how the city selects bidders as well as how TIFs were encouraging more companies to stay downtown, which would bring more jobs to the real estate industry. Businesses vying for government contacts should apply to be lobbyists and also remember to introduce themselves to local government officials and legislators, Chris said.
