LOTTERY LEASES SPACE
180 N LaSalle
Cushman & Wakefield's Mike Hawryluk has hit the jackpot with the private company that's taking over the Illinois lottery. He oversaw the tenant rep team for Northstar Lottery, which has taken four new leases throughout the state. The team leased 6,500 SF of office at180 N LaSalle in the CBD as well as a 21k SF data center at 3201Robbins Rd in Springfield (below). Northstar Lottery is a partnership formed by Gtech and Scientific Games. JF McKinney repped owner in the downtown lease while a Springfield private trust repped itself.

In addition to the Springfield and downtown properties, Northstar leased two industrial spaces in suburban Bolingbrook. The first, for 50k SF at 850 Remington Rd, will be a short-term lease (the lottery owners will have the space for about a year). NAI Hiffman repped the owner, TA Associates. The second Bolingbrook warehouse is for 18k SF at 586 Territorial. Darwin Realty repped owner Mars Equities. That facility will be used to fix lottery machines. (And by "fix", we mean "repair.")
