Currents Flows Into Riverwalk Space
CBRE's Jon Milonas, Thao Tunison, Tod Siegel, Jeff Skender, Jessica Kane and Jonathan Peretz

You just knew the lower level retail space at 200 S. Wacker couldn't stay vacant for long. It's a premium off-street location with a built-in clientele base: an office tower above, Willis Tower across the street, and Union Station across the river. Though vacant for eight months, it's now home to Evanston caterer and restaurant Current. CBRE's Todd Siegel, third from left, handled the lease, and above he celebrates with colleagues Jon Milonas, Thao Tunison, Jeff Skender, Jessica Kane, and Jonathan Peretz. Todd's also working on leasing the riverwalk retail at Trump Tower. And there was a bonus reason to celebrate: Jessica was completing her first day at CBRE. Congrats!

Currents owner Ray Samlow, here with Har-El Financial Group's Joel Freimuth, and Spencer Connect's Spencer Maus, says he knew the space was perfect when he saw the amazing river views. The space has already been open a few weeks and Ray says each day has brought more customers than the last. He's looking forward to catering throughout the Loop.
