Last night, CoreNet's Emerging Leaders hosted a rapid-meeting event at Allsteel's showroom at the Mart; we met Cbeyond's Matt Krakover and UGL Equis' Jon Gorczyca. Matt specializes in B2B communications for small and medium companies. Jon helps mid-to-large sized businesses reduce real estate costs. For those drawing a venn diagram: medium-sized companies are the big winners.

 

In our own speed-networking, we met Riis-Borg's Paul Borg, who grew up as a tradesman in his father's construction biz and broke off to start his own company; it specializes in private sector commercial construction and employs 30 in his Goose Island office. Currently, he's working on a build-out of Aveda's Ladies and Gentleman store in Block 37.
