Renovation Eyed For Omni Hotel In Uptown

Omni Hotels & Resorts is planning to renovate the Omni at 132 East Trade St. The work would be on the hotel's public spaces, including a reconceptualization of the street-level exterior façade at East Trade and South College in Uptown. The lobby is also part of the project.

Specific details, such as cost and timeline, haven't been hammered out yet, reports the Charlotte Business Journal, and the city has yet to sign off on the work. Other hoteliers have undertaken facelifts on their Uptown properties recently, including Marriott International's remodel of its Marriott Center City hotel near Trade and Tryon. [CBJ]
