Whole Foods is shuffling some of its Boston-area facilities. For one, the company is moving its North Atlantic regional HQ from Cambridge to Marlborough this spring. Whole Foods will be leaving 32k SF at 125 Cambridge Park Drive and moving into 50k SF at 200 Forest St, a 500k SF building also occupied by GE Healthcare Life Sciences and Quest Diagnostics.

In a separate move, the company is closing its North Atlantic food-preparation facility at 9 Commercial St in Everett as of March, the Boston Business Journal reports. The closure is part of Whole Foods' "ongoing plan to streamline operations," according to Heather McCready, a company spokeswoman. The Austin-based grocer is also closing regional kitchen facilities in Atlanta and Landover, Md. Going forward, the grocer will use outside suppliers for its in-store prepared foods. [BBJ]
