ITT Locations In Norwood, Wilmington To Be Vacated

What kind of space will be left behind in Massachusetts with the closure of for-profit college chain ITT Technical Educational Services? The shuttered sites include 333 Providence Hwy in Norwood and 200 Ballardvale St in Wilmington. Nationwide, there are more than 140 ITT Technical Institutes in over 35 states, the Boston Business Journal reports.

Last week, ITT Tech said it wasn't accepting new students because of the ruling by the US Department of Education banning the school from enrolling new students who depended on federal loans to pay for its classes. That followed ITT Tech's placement under a Provisional Program Participation Agreement because of late submission of audits and financial statements. [BBJ]
