THE RETAIL ROAD TO RHODE ISLAND
Linear CEO Bill Beckeman tells us that he's headed to the Ocean State with the recent acquisition of the East Greenwich Commons in Rhode Island. It brings the company's portfolio to 57 properties valued close to $400M.
THE RETAIL ROAD TO RHODE ISLAND
The latest addition fits into Linear?s footprint in Eastern Mass, southern New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. Bill tells us that there was active bidding for the East Greenwich property—an $8M, 40k SF strip center anchored by CVS; and, as a buyer, he always feels like he's paying too much. The other purchases since last fall were: a four condo retail property on Newbury St, a building at the corner of Charles and Mt. Vernon streets on Beacon Hill, Chelmsford Plaza at the Drum Hill Rotary and a freestanding Rite Aid in Westford, Mass. Learn more about Linear?s take on the retail CRE market and its future at Bisnow's Retail Summit, June 30 at the Hyatt Boston. (Register here. Great schmoozing, too!)
