IFMA EXPERIENCE
Catching up with IFMA, which held its Achievement Awards gala while we were on vacation, Nelson Black Cow?s David Stone,Stacy Chambers, and Brad Black celebrated. The work they did on Biogen?s new 356k SF HQ in Weston won the Sustainability Award. The Boston Properties' campus features the state's largest privately owned ground-mounted solar array. It also has the nation's first deep quarry cooling pond. (Sadly, not for recreational swimming.) These features help Biogen conserve energy and lower its operating costs. Meanwhile, Nelson Black Cow landed the 225k SF interiors job for Pearson at 501 Boylston St and is in construction on Google?s 60k SF expansion at 3 Cambridge Center in (oddly enough) Cambridge.

Delta Airlines? Charles Graham and Cushman & Wakefield's Ana Correa-Graham couldn't be happier for Diversified Project Management's Joy Shapiro, the winner of this year?s President?s Award for her leadership within IFMA's Boston chapter and the industry as a whole. Meanwhile, Joy and her colleages at DPM are happy to report that they were recently hired by the state College Building Authority to manage construction of a new 400-bed residence hall at Westfield State University (Go Owls). Diversified is also managing the 120k SF relo of Education Development Center HQ into CenterPoint in Waltham and recently completed the new Carl J. and Ruth Shapiro Ambulatory Care Center at Boston Medical Center.
