ART-CHITECTURE
May 3, 2011
Late last week, the Baltimore Museum of Art selected Ziger/Snead to design its $24M renovation, which is slated to finish in 2014. (No pressure, but Picasso will be watching your every move.) Conceptual planning starts this summer. The—funded by $10M in state money, a $2.4M bond from Baltimore City, and private donations—will give upgrades to the galleries for three art collections and the museum's east lobby, as well as visitor amenities. Breathe easy, art buffs: the museum will stay open and free during the renovation. |
