SURVEY: Bisnow Wants To Know Your Thoughts On Georgia's Opportunity Zones

Placeholder
Former U.S. Army base Fort McPherson, parts of which are part of Tyler Perry's film studio, is among Georgia's 260 census tracts designated as an opportunity zone.

In 2017, with a sweeping tax reform package, President Donald Trump ushered in a new vehicle to encourage capital to invest in some of the most distressed communities across the United States.

Called opportunity zones, these areas allow investors and businesses to defer capital gains taxes if investors place their gains in local businesses and development. There are 260 opportunity zones in Georgia, 40% of which are in the state's urban areas, including Downtown Atlanta, the southside and Cobb County.

Bisnow would like for you to take this survey to see how you view the opportunity zone program in the state and where you would most likely invest.
