Gwinnett County may soon be celebrating a big economic development win.

Sources tell us that United Healthcare is looking to  establish a new call center for 86K SF somewhere near Gwinnett Place Mall. The healthcare provider, with  1.4M Georgia customers, already operates an office out of Peachtree Corners (seen above), but this would be a new requirement for the company. And the deal would bring all new jobs  to that part of the county. Jones Lang LaSalle is handling the assignment, but officials from the brokerage firm were unavailable for comment. A UHC spokesperson only states that ?I will be happy to call you when we have signed contracts to announce any Georgia real estate.?
LMS Intellibound Inc inked a 20k SF deal  at 6525 The Corners Parkway in Peachtree Corners. Ackerman & Co's Gina DeRaffele brokered for the tenant, and Jones Lang LaSalle's Adam Viente repped the landlord.
Blue Ridge Capital subleased its 1,000 SF suite at One Buckhead Plaza to MSI Systems Corp. RG Real Estate's Aaron Karasik repped Blue Ridge in the transaction.
Micron Optics  renewed 21k SF  at 1852 Century Place off of Clairmont Road in Atlanta. Cone Middour Partners' Ryan Cone brokered the deal for the tenant while Wheeler/Brand's Lara Bargar repped the landlord.
Georgia Eye Physicians and Surgeons have surgically inserted itself into 4,200 SF at Park Lane Commons II with Wheeler/Brand's Lara helping the landlord and Bull Realty's  John Harrison inking the deal for the tenant.
Wheeler/Brand Management Co's Michael Lowrey renewed RCD Atlanta for nearly 10k SF at Mountain East Business Park, and Red Clay Interactive  for 5,200 SF at Buford Village.
Amdocs renewed and expanded to nearly 35k SF at Northwinds VI. Joel & Granot's Danny Granot brokered for the tenant while Lincoln Property Co's Michael Howell  and  Hunter Henritze  represented the landlord.
The Lincoln duo also renewed AIM Systems for nearly 14k SF at Northwinds VI with Jones Lang LaSalle's Rob Metcalf  representing the tenant, and inked a 12k SF deal  for NobleTek with CBRE's Bennett Gottlieb  and  John Thornton repping the company.
Elekta  officially announced last week that it's moving its  North American HQ to The Terraces in Central Perimeter.
LaSalle Investment Management purchased Douglas Hill Distribution Center, a  913k SF DC off I-20 West and Douglas Hill Road occupied by Quaker Oats. CBRE's  Chris Riley, Frank Fallon  and  Brian Budnick brokered the deal for the seller, Stockbridge Capital Group. The price was not disclosed.
Growing mega-gym Life Time Fitness reports in its latest SEC filing that it purchased the Raquet Club of the South in Peachtree Corners and is rebranding the facility as Life Time Tennis Atlanta.

Pattillo Industrial Real Estate's Ben Stafford shared this pic of a 140k SF spec warehouse the company is constructing in Gainesville, one of the first spec buildings to go up post-Great Recession. The  shell building is expected to be delivered in June.
IDI has begun a  three-building spec project in Memphis called Crossroads Distribution Center, which will encompass 1.75M SF once complete, including a 615k SF build-to-suit  for Milwaukee Electric Tool (which is almost as cool as Milwaukee Light).
Wheeler/Brand Management Co has acquired the leasing and management contract for the former Williams-Adair office and retail portfolio (totaling 675k SF), including Oakbrook Plaza and the Buckeye Building at Spaghetti Junction. Wheeler/Brand's  Lara Bargar  and  Michael Lowrey have been tapped to lease the properties.
Jones Lang LaSalle's Rob Metcalf  got a little career boost  this month, being promoted to  Senior Managing Director  and Leader of the firm's brokerage group in Atlanta. The  26-year CRE vet has repped such companies as Novelis, tvsdesign, Kemira Chemicals, and Assurant Group.
