FORT MAC ON THE MIND

Just what will become of Fort McPherson? Here's a pic of Atlanta City Coucil councilwoman Joyce Sheperd helping answer that at a recent CREW function. The lunch focused on the former military hub of the South and its projected transformation into one of the most exciting redevelopment and reuse projects Atlanta's ever seen. There was much conversation about Fort Mac not becoming another Atlantic Station—what's being proposed is more along the lines of a bioscience and technology center, supported by minor live and play elements for that workforce. The good news: the plan is to keep the golf course on the fort's 488 acres. Check the course at at Circle of Trust's inaugural golf tournament next week (info here.)
