BIG BUCKS FOR ARTS
Flora Maria Garcia CREW luncheon Woodruff Arts Center
For anyone who's dad ever talked them out a career as a roving street performer: How much do you think paintings and plays bring to Atlanta? How about nearly $275M. That's the estimate offered by Flora Maria Garcia, CEO of Metro Atlanta Arts and Culture Coalition, who told members of a CREW educational luncheon (just as we shot this, as a matter of fact) that was the amount local arts produce in Atlanta in jobstourism revenue, and increased home values. Flora spoke before a crowd of more than 200 on Friday at the Woodruff Arts Center.
