David oversees and leads all of LV Collective’s endeavors. He possesses a unique ability to create and inspire forward-thinking design and innovation, incorporating a keen understanding of complex capital structures combined with a knowledge of how to practically execute a timely and cost-effective construction project and bring the concept into existence. His leadership and direction of the company, paired with a heart for the success of everyone involved, has curated a unique environment in which team members thrive and enjoy collaboration while deftly producing cutting-edge projects with unmatched market appeal. David founded LV Collective in 2012 with the vision and passion to help shape the future of Austin’s real estate landscape. Since its inception, the company has acquired, developed and managed student housing, multi-family, creative office, residential, retail, restaurant, mixed-use and office assets valued in excess of $1.4 billion. LV Collective primarily employs value-add and opportunistic strategies to generate above-average, risk-adjusted returns for its investors. The company’s expertise spans ground-up development, adaptive reuse, value-add acquisitions and strategic re-positioning projects. LV’s structure as a privately held company allows for flexibility to underwrite and execute deals of all asset types, sizes and structures in order to secure the best opportunities in the market. David is very involved in several neighborhood groups such as University Area Partners and The Central Austin Neighborhood Planning Advisory Committee, as well as local and national organizations such as The Real Council of Austin, ULI, and NMHC. David graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he received his B.S. in Construction Engineering. David is married to his wife, Lauren, and they reside in Central Austin with their two children.

Mr. Gronlie joined the firm in 2010 and is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. As a Director and Head of Education Real Estate in the Transactions group, he oversees the firm’s education investment platform. He is responsible for defining and implementing the firm’s investment strategy in university markets throughout the US as well as expanding Harrison Street’s Public Private Partnerships (P3’s). Mr. Gronlie has fostered relationships with public universities, academically selective private colleges and various other institutions, which has allowed Harrison Street to invest capital enabling its higher education partners to further their academic missions. Prior to joining Harrison Street, Mr. Gronlie was an Assistant Vice President within the Commercial Real Estate Group at Citizens Bank. In this capacity, he was responsible for underwriting and portfolio management in the Mid-Atlantic region. He also served as the bank’s student housing specialist, whereby he analyzed each lending opportunity the bank evaluated within the asset class. Before working at Citizens, Mr. Gronlie was a Senior Acquisitions Analyst at GMH Communities Trust, a student housing REIT. Mr. Gronlie holds a BBA in Finance from James Madison University.

Based in Lafayette with offices in New Orleans and Austin, TX, Roger has over 25 years of experience in the acquisition, development and management of multi-family and student-housing properties throughout the U.S. He spent his early career acquiring multi-family and student competitive assets in from Baton Rouge to Lake Charles, LA along the I-10 corridor. This built up into an approximate 2,000 unit portfolio that was sold in 2000. Roger subsequently went to work for student-housing firms JPI, American Campus Communities, and CLV. During his tenure has acquired, developed and disposed of approximately $750 million in conventional and student housing real estate. These transactions have involved multiple financing structures including tax-exempt bonds and conventional debt financing. Since starting Texla, he has acquired approximately $275 million in student housing assets for JV partners Harrison Street and Crow Holdings. Roger holds a B.B.A. from Louisiana State University.

Theodora “Teddy” Leatherman leads the Dallas branch of the National Student Housing Capital Markets business for JLL Capital Markets, Americas. She joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has 8 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and property sales. Teddy specializes in equity placement and asset sale of student housing real estate located throughout the United States. During her career, Teddy has been involved in more than $6.2 billion of real estate equity placement and asset sales on behalf of major corporate, institutional, and private owners. Prior to joining HFF, Teddy worked at Marcus & Millichap as an Associate with a focus on Texas student housing. Teddy graduated with her B.S. degree from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business.

Born and raised in South East London, Adam has always been a ken sportsman; representing his high school in Soccer, Rugby and Cricket. He started his working life as a Police Constable in Central London and then moved on to becoming a “Mens Grooming Expert” (which led to him appearing on The Times, The Telegraph, The Independent & GQ). This career path bought Adam to Dallas, Texas where he met his wife and decided to settle down. In Texas, Adam chose to start over or “re-tool”, and pursued a Management Degree at SMU. Once his studies were complete, Adam moved into sales of HVAC where he touched many commercial construction projects. Adam loves the thrill of new challenges, and meeting new people and can't wait to start his career with Bisnow in Dallas.
