EWG EATS!

We went to the Environmental Working Group's third annual EWG EATS Gala at the Carnegie Library. EWG empowers people to live healthier lives through advocacy, research and education. We snapped its president, Ken Cook, flanked by Emma Holister and KSEA's Ann Lusky.

The gala celebrated EWG's achievements in shaping environmental policy, protecting consumers against toxic exposures, and providing info to protect everyone's health. 200 guests mingled during the cocktail reception, enjoying bites of lamb chops, cheeses and charcuterie. The delicious seasonal three-course dinner was an arugula salad with crispy kale chips, pan roasted blue circle salmon with quinoa, and mini desserts from Buttercream Bakeshop.
