Reaganpalooza!

Saturday we also went to the Young Conservatives Coalition's Reaganpalooza XII at SunTrust Bank at 1445 New York Ave NW. The gathering celebrated the achievements of the conservative movement and honored the legacy of President Ronald Reagan, ironically one day before the death of his beloved wife Nancy. We snapped US Senate candidate (R-AZ) Alex Meluskey standing over his staff, Joel Andres, Stacy Sutphin, Elly Maye, and his wife, Roberta Meluskey.

The celebration closed out the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, CPAC weekend, this year featuring views of the monuments from the top floor. YCC is a DC-based, young professional conservative leadership, education and networking association. Here, Reaganpalooza co-founders YCC President Christopher Malagisi, Atlantic City Mayor's Chief of Staff Chris Filiciello, and Franking Sense's Otto Heck.

The first Reaganpalooza started 12 years ago with 40 people at a small apartment party in Arlington for friends from around the country to come together; this year, over 500 enjoyed music and video games on the Wii U, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Here, Institute of International Education's Nathan Johnson, CMS' Francis Kelly, and Mathematica Policy Reseach's Elaina Bryan. At least, we're close to 100% sure that's Francis under the mask.

The lead sponsors, called The Reaganites, include the Conservative Book Club, WMAL DC Talk Radio, and L2 Political. Here, The Hollywood Conservative's Amanda Head, Shaun McCutcheon, the Alabama businessman known for his role in 2014's Supreme Court ruling to strike down aggregate contribution limits, UA's Jamey Clements, and Young Conservatives Coalition's Shana Teehan.
