We went to Young Conservatives Coalition's seventh annual Buckley Awards at the Capitol Hill Club. YCC selects five individuals for their significant achievements in advancing the conservative movement in the past year. We snapped Heritage Foundation's Helena Richardson and Elinor Werner with Aaron Strickland and Michael Werner.

The award is in honor of William F. Buckley Jr., the intellectual godfather of the modern conservative movement who founded National Review and wrote God & Man at Yale, all before the age of 30. Here are the 2016 Buckley Award winners: Young America's Foundation chief of staff Jessica Jensen, uCampaign founder Thomas Peters and District Media Group president Beverly Hallberg. Other award winners included Fox News contributor and author Pete Hegseth and Turning Point USA founder and executive director Charlie Kirk.

The event's speaker and featured guest was Fox News chief Washington correspondent James Rosen, left, author of a new book about Buckley, A Torch Kept Lit, with Young Conservatives Coalition president Christopher Malagisi. Guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, a complimentary drink and the awards ceremony as well as a book signing by Rosen following his speech.
