We went to the Ritz-Carlton for the World Affairs Council's 36th annual Global Education Gala.

South African Ambassador Mninwa Mahlangu was honored with the Distinguished Diplomatic Service Award. He's with Embassy Liaison Jan Du Plain and National Press Club's Kevin Wensing. The World Affairs Council expands awareness of geopolitical, business, and civil society issues in our interconnected world.
National Geographic CEO Gary Knell received the Global Communications Award from Raytheon's David Trulio for their efforts to preserve world wildlife through innovative social media.
