EYA has acquired 7 acres of underutilized church land in Fairfax County where it's developing a 70-townhouse community.

The developer, with equity partner Bernstein Management, bought 7426 Idylwood Road in Falls Church from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, EYA announced. It declined to disclose the acquisition price.
The church and EYA secured Fairfax County approval for the townhome project, called Idylwood Hill, in August. The homes are set to rise four stories and include an option for elevators. The plan is for 66 to be market rate and four to be affordable.
The development will include a central entry park, a pollinator garden and nature trails connecting it to the surrounding communities. Site work is underway, and construction on the townhomes is expected to begin in the spring, with project completion set for late 2028. Sales launch this month.
