Wilson House Garden Party!
Last night we also headed to Kalorama for the Woodrow Wilson House 28th annual Garden Party. We snapped Wilson House Board chair Linna Barnes, Edith Bowling Wilson Birthplace Foundation's Farron Smith, her husband, Bowling Wilson Hotel's Bill Smith, patron Victoria Brademan, Advisory Council member Nancy Bliss, and Cary Fuller, the great-nephew of Edith Wilson, who grew up in the house.
Despite the weather, guests were as festive as ever, sporting hats and spring pastels. Here, JHU Medicine's Damien Doyle, DHS' Betsy Doyle wearing a PEZ hat of the Presidents, and Wilson House executive director Robert Enholm.
Guests enjoyed an open bar reception and appetizers while exploring the house and gardens. Here, Washington Life senior editor Kevin Chaffee, supporter Debbie Moncure, and her husband, Ross & Moncure's Braxton Moncure.
Guests were treated to a jazz quartet that filled the house with Roaring '20s music. Here, "Captain W.S. Halliday" of the Royal Flying Corps, GW School of Business' Christopher Leinberger, and his wife, supporter Lisa Leinberger, with Marvin Chadab dressed as a French officer of the Great War.
Proper Topper's and Hat Contest judge Anna Furhman, Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library chair Katherine Wilkins, her son, lawyer Torrey Wilkins, Wilson biographer John Cooper, and his wife, Judy Cooper.
